This is an opportunity at a growing research, strategy, marketing, and advertising agency to join a dynamic media team responsible for contracting, placing, and managing traditional and digital media buys. Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Marketing and eCommerce, this position is responsible for the day-to-day, hands-on management of the client’s and agency’s campaigns across various platforms, industries, and budget levels, delivering the best possible ROI. The ideal candidate is extremely organized and has a positive attitude. The Media Buyer will collaborate with the Client Services and Project Management teams to execute integrated marketing plans.

Experience Requirements

2+ years’ experience buying media across multiple outlets and platforms.

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s Preferred


  • Working knowledge of traditional and digital media tactics and channels.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, reconciliation, and time management.
  • Demonstrate commitment to quality, detail oriented.
  • Strong written and oral communications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


  • Conduct market research, analyze demographic, psychographic, media use and buying patters to define audiences and target campaigns.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of media plans
  • Negotiate media buys with a variety of outlets
  • Manage campaigns spends and budgets as a fiduciary of the client
  • Understanding of client’s business needs and their media presence across multiple industries and ad accounts.
  • Track and reconcile budgets, flight timelines by channel and/or client.
  • Interface with accounting team to provide accurate tracking of Broadcast, Insertion, and/or Purchase orders


Must be able to fluently speak, read, write, and understand the English language as well as industry terminology related to the job. Able to quickly learn terminology and jargon appropriate to brand strategy, insights, client campaigns and digital solutions. Sufficient fluency to be able to interact with employees, peers, vendors, and clients regarding the details of their financial or human resources inquiries and the ability to conduct or participate in meetings, compose professional emails, letters, or memos, complete the documentation requirements of the job and interact successfully with all stakeholders.

Physical Requirements

Ability to gain access to the work area and then safely perform the duties of the job while utilizing standard and specialized equipment, including but not limited to the equipment described below. Ability to perform duties while sedentary, working at a desk and viewing a computer screen for extended periods. Vision and hearing within normal limits, with or without correction.

Equipment Usage

Automobile, phone, laptop and other computer equipment, photocopier, scanner, fax machine. Must be comfortable sharing a personal cell phone to communicate with executives, vendors, or clients during and after hours should the need arise.
