The Agency Takes Home Management Team of the Year Stevie®️ as well from the International Business Awards


OBI Creative is the winner of a coveted gold Stevie® Award in the Company of the Year – Advertising, Marketing & Public Relations – Small category and a silver award for Management Team of the Year in the Business Services Industries sector in the 2018 American Business Awards.®

Taking two of these prestigious awards home to the American midwest – specifically to Omaha and Des Moines is important to us.

We’ve long known that our hardworking towns have produced more visionaries than just the Oracle of Omaha. However, we’re all so industrious and so singularly focused on the task at hand that we rarely pause to notice the success happening right beneath our noses.

Shining Bright on a National Stage

The American Business Awards are the premier business awards program. All organizations are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and nonprofit, large and small.

What the Judges Saw

While criteria differed by category, the main emphasis in selecting the best marketing company was on innovation, integrity, effectiveness, creativity, and growth, as well as the quality of the company’s content itself. More than 200 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.

For the gold Stevie for Company of the Year, Judges recognized OBI for its growth in the past year, nearly doubling in size and location and completely changing the structure and organization of the company in an effort to be best positioned for continued growth.

In winning a silver Stevie for Management Team of the Year, the team was recognized specifically for investing in realigning the team organizationally with each employee completing an exhaustive strengths training course utilizing the Clifton StrenthsFinder™ assessment and then reorganizing into highly efficient and deliberately refined clusters of account management, business development creative services, research and strategy, finance, human resources and strategic communications and public relations.

A record total of more than 3,700 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories, including Company of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Best New Product or Service of the Year, Startup of the Year, Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year, among others.

Finding a spot to display the two awards won’t be hard, as OBI Creative’s Omaha office moves into its new Millard Lumberyard District space. Far from making us conceited, every time we see the awards, they will fill us with respect for each other and our incredible clients.
