OBI Creative Nets 3 International Communication Awards for Pandemic Campaign, Web Growth, Research + Strategy
Winning campaigns helped launch a national COVID-19 testing effort, increased leads for a real estate company and positioned CEO as an industry leader
OMAHA, Neb. — OBI Creative, an international-award-winning marketing and advertising firm headquartered in Omaha’s historic Lumberyard District, has been recognized with three wins by The Communicator Awards, the leading international creative awards program honoring creative excellence for communication professionals.
The full-service ad agency — dedicated to research-driven, results-based approaches to marketing, advertising and public relations — won awards for the following campaigns:
Driving Change in Covid-19 Testing for Nomi Health
Category: Campaign — social responsibility for integrated campaign
When the pandemic struck, direct healthcare company Nomi Health sprang into action to develop and scale a mass COVID-19 testing effort, and they needed a strategic partner to generate awareness and bring its services to the public. Through a full-scale campaign — employing paid, earned and owned media; digital content; corporate and reputational communications and thought leadership strategies — Nomi Health rose as a national leader in COVID care, building and scaling a robust testing and vaccine program that served 15 million people at more than 300 U.S. sites, and deployed 800+ mobile COVID-19 care programs to farms, senior centers, homeless shelters, migrant populations and prisons.
Bringing in Renters at Broadmoor
Category: General — real estate for websites
OBI Creative was commissioned by property management company Broadmoor to improve its website performance and generate interest in its properties. A research, analysis and optimization campaign led to an increase in SEO traffic, direct traffic, referral traffic and conversions. Apartment availability decreased from 4% to 1% and web traffic increased by 40 percent. The website now consistently collects over 1,000 leads each month.
Promoting Agency Founder as a National Thought Leader
Category: Campaign — business to business for integrated campaign
OBI Creative founder and CEO Mary Ann O’Brien is a branding and marketing firebrand with a deep understanding of a business’s customer journey. Through a robust thought leadership campaign — including conducting research, collecting data and developing brand assets, a communications plan and social media postings — OBI secured multiple pickups in various publications, speaking opportunities and a seat on a board — results it plans to replicate for clients interested in thought leadership campaigns.
“We know that branding for professionals is similar to corporate branding — the best way to drive growth for organizations is by focusing on research, strategy and tactics, in that order and executed in tandem with a clear brand strategy that is aligned with business goals,” O’Brien said. “OBI Creative takes a similar approach to each campaign we run, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be recognized by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts.”
