Grede is an American success story, opening as a single foundry a century ago in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and today leading the industry in iron casting design and manufacturing for the automotive, commercial and industrial markets. In late 2019, they proudly started operating as an independent company and needed their website, social presence and recruiting materials to exude confidence, passion and excellence. Enter OBI. After completing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research and hearing what high regard clients have for Grede products and the people who make them, we unveiled a new campaign theme line—It’s what’s on the inside that counts—both the passionate people within the foundries and the safety-critical parts they construct, which are crucial to protecting millions of lives across the globe. Four pairs of steel-toed boots, three multi-day photoshoots in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan, dozens of interviews, countless deliverables and one brand video later, the new look and voice of Grede is live. And we’re just as fired up about it as they are.
